PURPOSE OF OUR ADVISORY BOARD
Our advisory board of volunteers will make recommendations to our organization for recipient organizations to receive funds raised by our organization. These individuals are not directors of our organization, and they are not a true committee of our organization. Instead, these individuals have diverse backgrounds and life expierences and each individual will provide his or her unique viewpoint in advising our organization to select recipient organizations which will benefit a more diverse segment of the population effected by cancer than our organization might benefit if these individuals were not involved. We are pleased and honored to welcome them.

David Klein
David is a cancer survivor and long time Steinberg family friend.
"I believe that I was lucky to have suffered. Some people don't realize that in suffering there is great potential, because if you are deprived for any reason...and if you set your mind in the right direction, you will find that the only way to survive is for you to excel. So I am a survivor of a blood cancer, CLL. I had the support of my two daughters, Erin and Kathryn, my former spouses, Jodi and Jill, and my family and friends. Elchonon Reizes is a young man who gave me the "gift of life" by donating his blood cells for a successful bone marrow transplant. I donate my time and energy to assist in the cancer cause... to help provide a better quality of life for all dealing with cancer."
David was Chief Operating Officer for Bank of Louisville from 1978 to 2002. He currently serves as Board Chair for the Jewish Community of Louisville, is a Board Member of Gilda's Club Louisville, and was a Founding Board Chair of Metro Parks Foundation (2005).
