     Meghan’s Mountain Charitable Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit charitable foundation  dedicated to the eradication of cancer. Until then we continue to reach out to those that are climbing mountains to seek life as it should be, and to raise funds for research. While Meghan’s heart is with blood disorders, because of her own battle with Leukemia, she is dedicated to finding a cure for all cancers.

   Meghan’s Mountain has an advisory board composed of individuals whose backgrounds will allow them to make suggestions to Meghan that will insure that funds collected will go to organizations and institutions that can help individuals in their climb to life and to fund research that will someday find that cure.

How it all began

At the age of 22, Sarah Meghan Steinberg was confronted with one of the most challenging battles of her life. Leukemia. Instead of allowing this devastating type of cancer take another life, she made the decision to let it make a change in hers. Armed with first-hand knowledge of the challenges cancer presents to individuals and their families, Meghan started an organization with the mission of generating awareness and resources for cancer sufferers and survivors. Meghan's Mountain was born.

Meghan's Mission

Founded on the principles of helping others overcome their struggles with cancer, Meghan's Mountain provides a conduit for charitable donations to local and national cancer organizations. Through a partnership with organizations such as the National Marrow Donor Program and Kosair Children's Hospital, Meghan's Mountain raises funds for cancer research while providing support for those going through cancer treatment, families, friends and survivors of cancer.

Today, Meghan's Mountain is an invaluable asset to organizations that rely on charitable contibutions for continuing research. For one event alone, Meghan's Mountain raised almost $33,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and that's just the beginning. Coordinated fundraising, visits to patients and their families while going through cancer treatment and countless helping hands are just a few of the differences Meghan's Mountain makes in Louisville and across the country. But it can't be done alone.
